The Cocktails

All of these cocktails showcase the talent, passion and creativity of the bartenders who created them. Please take a few moments and try them.







The Ultimate Cocktail for a Cure Competition...

Here they are....the Winners! 

The Winner of the
Ultimate Cocktail for a Cure!

Silver Granate

 

Silver Granate...created by Elba Susana Giron

1 oz                 Hendrick's Gin
1 oz                 PAMA Pomegranate Liqueur
1/2 oz             Fresh Lime Juice
1/2 oz             Simple Syrup
1/2 oz             Pineapple Juice
1-1/2 sprig     Tarragon

Directions:
Lightly muddle the tarragon to break it up.  Add the remaining ingredients.  Add ice and shake vigorously for about 7 seconds.  Strain into a coupe glass.

Garnish:
Carefully shape Argento Fino Fogliette (sheet) in a leaf and place 3 dried juniper (or dried blueberrry) berries onto the leaf to complete the garnish.



Pandora's Cure... Second Place...created by Mirjana Kucan Pandora's Cure

2 oz.          Hendrick's Gin
¾ oz.         PAMA Pomegranate Liqueur
1 oz.          Brut Champagne or Sparkling Wine
2 each        Rose Petals
1 each        Cucumber Slice
2 drops      Rose Flower Water

Directions:
In a mixing glass, muddle 1 rose petal and the cucumber slice.  Add ice, Hendrick's Gin and PAMA.  Stir well.  Line chilled coupe glass with rose flower water and discard remaining liquid.  Strain through tea or julep strainer into coupe glass.  Float Brut Champagne or sparkling wine.

Garnish:
Garnish with a rose petal, floating in the liquid like an upright bowl, filled with Argento Fino.

1- 1/2 oz.      Hendrick's Gin
1/2 oz.          PAMA Pomegranate Liqueur
1/2 oz.          St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur
3 -5 dashes   Orange Bitters

Directions:
Build in a mixing glass:  3-5 dashes of orange bitters, Hendrick's Gin, PAMA and St. Germain.  Fill shaker with ice.  Combine with mixing glass.  Shake thoroughly.  Strain into chilled coupe glass.

Garnish:
Edible Flowers:  Orchid preferred but other pink hued flowers are ok.  Brush tips of bloom with honey and roll in Argento Fino.  Set on the side of glass.

1 oz.          Hendrick's Gin
1/2 oz.     PAMA Pomegranate Liqueur
3 oz.          Guava Nectar

1-1/2 oz.   Sence Necter de Roses 
Juice          1/4 Lemon
Splash       Marie Brizard Blood Orange

Directions:
Shake all the ingredients with ice.  Strain into an ice filled julep glass.

Garnish:
Stretch an orange twist a few times to take out the curl.  Form a loop (see picture), cut both bottom ends at an angle, break off a small part of a toothpick and insert from behind to hold the loop together until tip of toothpick just comes through from the rear.  Sprinkle entire loop with Argento Fino and hang from straw on outside of glass.



McCrone in Bloom...Fifth Place...created by Tad Carducci McCrone in Bloom

1-1/2 oz.      Hendrick's Gin
3/4oz.           PAMA Pomegranate Liqueur
Handful        Ripe Blueberries
3 oz.               Fresh Pineapple Puree
2 dashes        Peychaud's Bitters
1/2 oz.          Fresh Lemon Juice

Directions:
In a mixing glass, muddle blueberries with Peychaud's Bitters.  Add ice and all remaining ingredients.  Shake watchomamagaveya for 10 seconds.  Strain into a chilled Collins glass filled with cracked ice.

Garnish:
Garnishe with skewered blueberries dusted with Argento Fino as well as sprigs of fresh sage and lemon thyme (very important for aromatics).

The cocktails are in no particular order and do not represent any type of scoring!  There were over 84 amazing cocktails submitted and the above twenty cocktails have been sent on to the next round of judging.   The Final Five will be selected by August 7th and will be made for the judges on August 11th (see info below)

We are so appreciative of the time and effort all of you took to create your cocktails! 
It was a tough round of judging for Tony, Sean and Bill...
